National and international forest policies

International forest policies are not just of interest in context of global international proceesses but are increasingy relevant for regional and local levels. They need to be taken into account even for plans and decisions at forest management unit (FMU) level. FLEGT, REDD+, EUTR are just a few of those acronyms, which have found their way into a  forest manager's everyday vocabulary.

Markets and Trade
Trade- and market data are used for the evaluation of forest policy instruments as well as for the development of decisions at FMU-level (e.g. investments into new technology or processes).
