Forest Management Plans

The variety of modern forest uses and -functions is reflected in a variety of goals forest management unit level. Modern approaches like "electronic management plans" facilitate individual designs for estate specific planning and documentation tools.

Plans at Ecosystem Level
In many countries eegional level planning for diferent forest function has been established especially in the context of forest services such as conservation, soil protection or recreation. Harnessing our international experience we are able to provide consultancy for novel approaches based on best practices and examples for successful implementation.

Specific expertise includes risk zone mapping for floods, torrents and avalanches as well as regional level wildlife management.

Forest Valuation

Classical methods of forest valuation are used to provide objective information for buyers and sellers in real estate deals as well as in the context of inheritance or the divisioning up or larger estates or compensation cases.

In addition there is now increased interest for evaluation of all products and services provided by forest ecoystems using techniques such as the ecosystem service approach.


Single Tree Valuations

For urban green space management the value of single trees or small groups of trees or bushes is often of interest. In this context tree pricing methods try to take account of the full range of benefits provided by elements of the urban forest as well as the considerable efforts and resources required for full substitution.
